Please note that we use the terms Goals and Objectives interchangeably in this guide. At Digital Science, we prefer the term Objective, however Bob’s module is called Goals.

Department goals can only be added and edited by the Department Head

Shared department goals are viewable by:

  • anyone in the same department

  • all department heads

  • Executive Team

  • Add a Department Goal (Objective)

  • Edit Department Goals

  • Check-in and Close a Goal

    • View Company Goals

Add a Department Goal (Objective)

Navigate to the Talent module using the waffle in the top left corner and select Goals and Department’s goals.

Select + Create goal

 

Give the Objective a Title and Description.

Select a Time frame for the Department Objective

  • For 2025 objectives, choose Next Year from the dropdown menu.

  • Alternatively, you can manually select a specific Date range.

 

 

  • Assign the Department Objective to one of the NEW 2025 Departments. These departments are easily identified by the label "new" next to their name.

  • Assign the Owner to the Department Head.

  • Create measurable Key Results for each of department objective.

  • You can use the AI tool (Generate button) to automatically create some key results, or you can create your own list of objective key results.

  • Align the department goal to one of the 2025 Company Priorities.

 

Press Save and repeat the process for each objective.

 

Edit Department Goals

Navigate to the Talent module using the waffle in the top left corner and select Goals and Department’s goals.

Select your Department and then the Goal you would like to edit, select the More drop down box and choose Edit.

Check-in and Close a Goal

Select the goal you would like to update with regards to progress.

Click the Check in button to update the metrics.

Check in on the goal and indicate if your Department is On Track or Off Track.

 

View Company Goals

In order to view Company Goals, navigate to Talent, Goals and Company Goals. You will be able to view progress on each of them.
