Pension | SuperannuationSuperannuation is the pension provision in Australia. As the employer, DS pay
monthly superannuation contributions directly to an individual's super fund (this amount is
in addition to salary).
Advance (payroll provider) manage our employer contributions to superannuation and each employee nominates their chosen super fund upon joining the company.
You can choose to make additional contributions to your superannuation. To request it, contact us via People Team Support ticket.
If you chose to make additional contributions to your superannuation, DS will increase their contribution - this is based on length of service.

Your salary will continue to be paid (up to a maximum amount determined by your salary amount) in the event that you are no longer able to work due to sickness or disability. This cover continues until retirement age.
The Salary Continuance Insurance (SCI) cover provided by Digital Science for employees is as follows:
Benefit: 75% x Salary
Waiting Period: 90 Days
Benefit Period: To Age 65
The cost of this cover is paid by Digital Science
Current provider is WestPac, however Harvest is a consultant company we use to help manage our superannuation fund and salary continuance insurance
Life insurance is provided to you in the event of your death if you choose to join the DS super plan as a new full time employee of DS.
This level of insurance is unique for everyone as it depends on gender, age and salary level. Your beneficiary will receive your super account balance and your insured benefit on the following formula; 15% x years to Age 65 x Salary.

The Mindwell support service is a benefit available to all Zurich Group Salary Continuance (GSC) insured employees at Digital Science.
