Bob’s Analytics Module offers 5 default dashboards with 21 widgets (metrics) available for use. This guide will help you understand and correctly use the available analytics dashboards and widgets, highlighting key considerations, limitations, and tips to ensure you're interpreting the data accurately.

Growth Dashboard

Tracks team size changes, including headcount, new hires, and terminations. Helpful for understanding growth trends.

Headcount

Tracks number of employees as of the last day in the selected period.

Excludes lifecycle statuses: Hired or Terminated.

Growth Rate

Shows % growth compared to previous time period.

New Employees

Displays new hires during selected range.

Uses Start date field without Original start date to determine new hire.

Terminated Employees

Counts number of employees with termination dates during the selected period.

May not include contract end cases.

Manager to Employee Ratio

Ratio of managers to employees.

Only counts those with at least 1 direct report.

Managers

Total number of managers with direct reports.

FTE

Full-time equivalent of working hours across staff.

The FTE widget converts part-time hours into full-time equivalents by multiplying headcount by their work percentage, adds full-time staff, and divides the total by 100 to get the FTE count. Uses FTE% field in the Employment Category.

Retention Dashboard

Monitors employee retention, turnover, and average tenure. Useful for gauging team stability.

This dashboard is not calculating Turnover and Attrition rate correctly. A fix will be implemented in Q4 2025

Average time (in months) employees have been with the company.

Potential data issues with incorrect start dates.

Career Development Dashboard

Provides data on promotions and internal moves. Helps track employee progression.

Depends on correct use of 'Promotion' as change type.

Finance Dashboard

Shows salary-related data such as totals, averages, changes, and pay gap insights.

Creating a Custom Dashboard 

 1. Open Analytics from main menu then Dashboards

  1. Click + New Dashboard, name your dashboard

  2.  Add widgets to your dashboard

The dashboard is preset to show data from the last 12 months. You can change the time range from the top right hand corner. Please note that historical data before July 2024 is not reliable.
