Setting up JumpCloud Multi Factor Authentication

Since Autumn 2023, this is mandatory for all JumpCloud accounts. You have a choice of 4 authentication methods:

  • Authenticator App (E.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator)

  • JumpCloud Protect (This is an app you install on a phone)

  • Physical key (e.g. Yubikey)*

  • Biometrics (e.g. Windows Hello and Apple TouchID)*

*These methods will allow you access to your JumpCloud account perfectly well, but do not allow you to change your password using the JumpCloud Tray app which is the default and recommended way to change your password. To do that, you will need one of the other factors
